I thought I’d tried more or less everything the eyeliner department had to offer, but gel eyeliner is a new one on me, so, needless to say, this one by Bobbi Brown has been instantly added to my "things I must try" list.
This product appeals to me because it claims to offer the precision of a liquid liner with the ease of use of gel. Now, despite owning more than my fair share of liquid eyeliners, and knowing perfectly well that they’re much more precise than my trusty old pencil, they tend to lie unused in my train case while I fall back on the pencil time and time again – purely because it’s so easy to use, and I’m much less likely to make a mess with it.
So, anything that promises to create that liquid liner look, but be easy enough for even me to use, sounds like a good idea. This is applied with a brush (which isn’t included) and it has to be applied quickly, because it’s transfer resistant when dry, so if you make a mistake, you’re not going to be able to blend it out. Sounds like it might take a bit of getting used to, but it could be worth the investment of time. As for the investment of money, meanwhile, it’s $19 at Neiman Marcus.

L’Oreal HIP cream liners are pretty good and cost about $12 at CVS. I’m not sure where they are available in the UK though.. They’re a good drug store duplicate if you can find them! I’m wearing it right now and they glide on like a dream and are VERY easy to use. (i even got compliments on my makeup today!) I have much more control over this than with Benefit Babe Cake liner
