Monthly Archives: November 2008Dollface Reviews: Bobbi Brown’s ‘Copper Diamond’ Shimmer BrickGorgeous, isn’t it? Not only is Bobbi Brown’s new Copper Diamond Shimmer Brick lovely to look at from the outside, with its pretty gold case, the colours inside are exactly the kind of colours I tend to wear, so I was really excited to be able to get my hands on one of these this week, and try it out. This contains five different shades – candlelight, gold, copper, beige and sand – inside the ‘Copper Diamond’ case, and as with Bobbi Browns other Shimmer Bricks, the colours can be used anywhere you want to add a bit of shimmer. I love the three darker shades on my eyelids, while the beige and sand are excellent as highlighters on the brow and cheek bones. These colours are fairly subtle, so if you’re going for a dramatic look I’d say this probably isn’t the Shimmer Brick for you. If you have paler skin and want to create a subtle glow, however, this is a nice way to get it, and as the colours will work on most skin tones, it’d also make a nice Christmas gift too. Take a look under the jump for some more photos: Eyeko Tinted Cream for a sunkissed glow![]() I’m spending most of this month trying to prepare for my winter holiday to the Canary Islands. Because we’re heading out there right before Christmas, I don’t want to spend too much money on holiday items, which is why this tinted moisturiser by Eyeko caught my eye. Not only is it only £5, it promises to deliver that "sunkissed glow" I’m always after, and can be used as a moisturiser, eye cream and highlighter – a little bit of multi-tasking that’ll mean more space in my makeup back (to fill with duty-free beauty products, natch). It also contains vitamin C and is available from ASOS.com, amongst other places.

Monsoon releases a Fragrance![]() If you’re a fan of Monsoon’s clothing and accessories, you may be interested to know that the brand has just released its own perfume, too. Called simply "Monsoon Fragrance" , this is released in conjunction with Bronnley, and attempts to capture the slightly bohemian vibe that Monsoon have always gone for in their stores and clothing. The perfume contains notes of Neroli and Bergamot infused with Morrocan Rose Oil for a distinctive fusion that is richly scented. Base notes of eastern spices with a hint of warm woods and hot amber oils complement undertones of Bourgainvillea Petal, and as well as the fragrance itself, there’s also a body lotion, shower cream and body spray available. For more information, you can visit the Monsoon Fragrance website here.

The Body Deli Fresh Cell Light Emulsion Flash Food moisturiser
This is said to be particularly good on acne-prone skin, which is something I’m lucky not to suffer from, but The Body Deli say: "Salicylic acid and our proprietary blend of Silica, Sulphur, Maganezium and Copper act as a benzol peroxide alternative to help heal and clear up blemishes without drying out the skin." Because it absorbs so quickly, there’s a temptation to use too much of it, but one or two pumps should be more than enough to cover your face and neck, so that it’ll last for a long time, too, making it a good deal for $36.
