There's been a buzz (no pun intended) about vibrating mascara wands gong on in the beauty world for some time now, but I think Maybelline may be the first of the budget brands to give it a whirl. Or a shake, as the case may be.
Their Pulse Perfection, like other mascaras before it, is battery powered, and uses a vibrating motion to make sure no lash goes uncoated. It delivers 7,000 vibrations per minute, and the studies the brand have done show that it leaves lashes thicker, longer and all-round lovelier.
Will it work? Well, it's not on sale yet, but they've set up a special micro site (it's down at the moment, but I'm assuming will be live nearer the time), ad you can buy it there, for one day only, on May 18th. If you're one of the lucky ones, obviously. If you're not, it will go on general release in July, and will cost $14.95.

I’ve only recently bought a vibrating toothbrush, for heaven’s sake. Hmmmmm, this whole vibrating mascara phenomenon is going to whistle past me too, I think. I often have trouble with accidentally brushing mascara onto my top eyelids – just think of the havoc an extra-shoogly brush is going to wreak on top of my unsteady hand.
Seperately, I wish cosmetic companies would slow down on this unending betterment & replacement of products. Maybelline did a great mascara: Lash Stylist, which was only about 2-3 years on the UK market. Already it seems to have been discontinued.
