Listerine Natural remedies to help your nails

Nail fungus. No, it's not the most glamorous of topics, is it? In fact, you're possibly gagging into your coffee right now. Sorry about that. Did you know that Listerine can help cure it, though? Neither did I. And while humble old Listerine isn't exactly natural, it IS something you may well have at home which will do the job just as well as an expensive nail fungus treatment. (Just pour it into a basin and soak your nails. It'll apparently make them glow, too. You learn something every day.)

Some other things you may want to try:

Tea tree oil: My bathroom cabinet is never without some of this, and it's the only thing that works to get rid of the huge "second head" spot that sometimes appears on my forehead. As with the Listerine example, above, all you need to do is pour it onto a cotton wool ball and dab it onto the affected area. Lavender oil works too, in the same way, and will also make you feel all relaxed and happy. Or so I'm told, anyway.

Apple cider vinegar: not just nice on a salad, add it to warm water (about 50% water to 50% vinegar) and soak for 15-20 minutes. You don't have to use apple cider vinegar, of course – any type of vinegar will work, but the apple cider variety is said to be more effective because it's extra-acidic. If you have the time to do this a couple of times per day, so much the better. Added bonus: you can use it to clean your windows with, too!

Oregano and olive oil: is there anything olive oil can't do? Apparently not. I use it as a cleanser, and swear by it, but it's been being used in various beauty treatments for a long time. To treat finger or toenail problems, pour it onto a teaspoon, add two drops of oregano and dab it onto your nails.

These home remedies are all well and good, of course, but if you have persistent problems, it's probably bets to see a doctor. (Note: Dollface is not a doctor.) A treatment like zetaclear, for instance, is still a natural, homeopathic solution, but will save your supplies of apple cider vinegar and olive oil.
