I don’t tend to smell my fingers very often. (Now there’s an opening sentence I never thought I’d write…) I don’t know why, I just don’t. So the part of me that doesn’t want to spend money on something that will be of limited use to me is trying to tell me that scented nail polish is simply a gimmick. The part of me that’s a complete sucker for a good gimmick, however, is telling me that, d’uh, of course I’m going to want to try scented nail polish! Why on earth not?
Good question. Revlon’s Scents of Summer collection has been available in the States for a while now, but won’t be released here in the UK until next March, at which point we’ll all be able to have fingernails that look good AND smell good. The collection will include the colours and scents of Cotton Candy, Bubble, Orange Pop, Orange Smoothie, Ocean Breeze, Gum Drop, Peach Smoothie and “Grapy Icy”, whatever that may be. I’ll probably want to try at least one of them. What about you, though?

Hmm, if it meant that the nail polish itself was slightly less chemically scented when you’re applying it, that could be quite nice. But, like your good self, it’s rare that I sniff my fingernails!
These are out here in New Zealand at the moment. I do love them – the scent doesn’t come out until they’ve dried and some of them are quite lovely. I had a mango one from last year’s line up that I loved – even if you’re not in the habit of sniffing your fingernails you get the occasional waft of it when your fingers are near your face, and it does seem to last well too. So yeah, gimmicky but fun!

I am constantly on the search for the perfect purple polish, so the purple in this collection is appealing to me, the scented part would just be an added bonus!
I used to have some scented nail polish when I was younger (about 14 I think) I loved it then (it smelled of strawberries) but I don’t think I’d be keen now. I think it was from the RU? collection of Superdrug own cosmetics (God I’m showing my age now!).

I haven’t bought these, but they DO smell good. I sneaked some onto my nails at a store (we’ve had this in Australia for aaages) and the scent is pretty strong. It doesn’t come through until the polish dries, as some people have mentioned. The only reason I haven’t bought them is that I’ve never found Revlon polishes terribly useful- they’ve often chipped or peeled almost instantly for me.
Well I dunno about the smell thing but the colours are gorgeous enough to give it a try
