I love Elizabeth Arden’s Eight Hour Cream, and I love all things retro, so I may have given a little "squee!" of excitement when I read about this over at Kiss and Makeup. The classic care cream has been given an equally classic makeover as part of the brands ‘Celebration of a Decade’ collection, and will be available in this adorable little retro style pot. I still have plenty of Eight Hour Cream left, in the regular old tube, but I’m such a sucker for this kind of packaging that I probably won’t be able to resist it when it becomes available on November 10th. It’ll be produced in this pot for a limited time only, so hey, I can’t NOT buy it now, can I?

For me, Dita Von Teese was the ultimate Viva Glam girl, but if this image of Fergie, the new Viva Glam spokesperson, is anything to go by, it looks like the Black Eyed Peas singer is doing a pretty good job for MAC, too. It’s a very different look from Dita’s polished perfection, of course, but a change is as good as a rest, they say, and I guess MAC wanted to take things in a totally different direction this time.

In conjunction with her stint as spokeswoman, Fergie has also re-mixed Glamorous to promote the safe sex message of the campaign – and also to promote MAC’s limited edition lipglass, of course, sales of which will go to benefit the M.A.C AIDS Fund.

We talked about the possibility of Nicola Roberts of Girls Aloud launching a cosmetics line for redheads back in November, but now it’s actually happened, and very lovely it all looks, too!

It’s called Dainty Doll, and it’s been created in conjunction with Jelly Pong Pong, who will be selling the makeup via their website when it launches on April 18th. Being a redhead myself, I clearly have a particular interest in this line, but I think most of the pieces will be suitable for anyone with pale skin, regardless of hair colour.

The collection includes foundations and concealers  (always the trickiest things to find in the right colour when you’re very pale skinned), eye shadows and lipgloss, and prices don’t seem to be available yet. Definitely one I’ll be keeping a heavily mascara-d eye on!
