Wow. Kim Kardashian tends to favour a pretty high-maintenance looks, so she’s one of the last celebrities I’d have expected to see out and about in public without makeup.  Doesn’t she look pretty without it, though?  Sure, there’s a it of shine there that may or may not have been caused by the camera flash, but I think she’s looking rather sweet in this picture, don’t you?

I hesitate to refer to Sam and Amanda Marchant or Jade Goody as "celebrities", but they do regularly appear in the British tabloid press (For the benefit of our non-UK readers, they all appeared in Big Brother), so on with the show…

The three women all agreed to be photographed without makeup for New! magazine, and actually, going by the above photos, it looks like they were photographed sans clothes too… Now, I won’t even let people see me without my makeup, never mind take photographs of me (I actually think being photographed without clothes might be less of an ordeal…) so I find this very brave. Interestingly, Sam and Amanda look quite different without the slap, as they’re both so very pale, but Jade Goody looks pretty much the same. Don’t be fooled, though – Jade apparently has makeup tattooed on, so it maybe wasn’t such a brave move on her part after all.

All three said they felt self-conscious without their makeup, with Sam commenting, "I hardly go a day without wearing it! Yesterday, I had no make-up on and as soon as we decided we were going to the supermarket, I was like, “Right: foundation, mascara. I always do it!"

Oh, what I wouldn’t give to look even a little bit like Sienna Miller, snapped here answering the door at her London home, completely free of makeup, having just got off a flight from LA.

If I were to answer the door at Dollface Palace in the same circumstances, that delivery man would now be running for cover at the sight of my pale, puffy face  – but on the plus side, at least I’d be able to store the package in my eye-bags…

Well, she’s certainly not wearing makeup, but what you can’t see in this picture of Pamela Anderson is that she wasn’t wearing any shoes, either. Personally, I’d worry more about the shoes – we all pop out of the house without our "faces" on from time to time (don’t we?) but walking around in public with no shoes? Eeeewww!

It’s cruel, we know, but it’s also kinda comforting to see celeebrities without makeup and realise that, actually? They’re not all that. Take Alicia Silverstone, here, for example. Beautiful girl, very pretty face – but without makeup? Or access to a comb? Oooh! Makeover!
