Category Archives: HandsPaul & Joe Nail and Hand Care Kit
I'm obsessed with hand cream at the moment. My hands tend to be on the dry side and, I don't know, when my hands feel dry, I somehow feel really… ungroomed. That's totally the wrong word for what I'm trying to say here, but suffice to say that I really hate the feeling of having dry, tight hands. That's not why I like this Paul & Joe Nail and Hand Care Kit, though. No, that's mostly because of the box it comes in. Pretty, isn't it? I've never actually used any Paul & Joe products, but I have always admired the pretty packaging, and this is a particularly nice example, because as well as the pink, butterfly-covered box, the nail polish is also very pretty, in classic Paul & Joe style. Inside the box you get the nail polish (it's a base coat), hand cream, and a pair of soft gloves to wear in bed to let the hand cream sink in. Look!
All this is £22 and the kit is available from ASOS. Cath Kidston Rose Hand Cream
I have to admit that while Dollface Towers is a modern, suburban kind of place, I sometimes dream of a little cottage by the sea, which I'd fill with Cath Kidston fabrics and spend my days being a 50s housewife, complete with apron and baked goods. Or, you know, maybe not. Until then, I'll have to reply on Cath Kidston's Rose Hand Cream, to fulfill my love of florals, and kitsch, retro designs. I think it would make a sweet little Mother's Day gift too, if you're stuck for ideas. This is inspired by home-made beauty recipes, and contains lots of natural ingredients and no parabens, sulphates or colours. It's £8, and you can buy it here.

Green By Nature is one of those brands. These products are currently being sold at Target, and consist of everything from body wash to lip balm, via cuticle creams and body butters. And what’s in them? Well, according to their press release, "All… skincare and body products are 91%-98.6 natural. Their ingredients come from the earth and contain vitamins, extracts, oils and antioxidants to cleanse, soften, smooth and hydrate the skin." So now you now. The brand also donate 1% of their sales to environmental causes and refuse to test on animals. You can buy their products via their online store or at selected branches of Target. Boots No. 7 launch Protect and Perfect Hand Cream
This has the tagline "Younger Longer", which is the name of the Boots No. 7 hand cream I reviewed earlier this month, and that makes me wonder how much of a difference there’ll actually be between these two. The Protect & Perfect cream is slightly more expensive, at £10.25 to the Younger Longer’s £9.95, so I’m assuming there is a difference – I’d be interested to see exactly what it is, though. For me, £10.25 is fairly expensive for a hand cream, as I have something of a love/hate relationship with the stuff, but if it’s as good as the rest of the Protect & Perfect range, it’s probably worth it. Buy it here. Hand Job and Pussy Foot – embarrassingly named beauty products![]() Oh dear. I really hate to think what kind of Google searches people are going to use to end up at this post… Those people are obviously going to be very disappointed, though, because these are beauty products. Yes, BEAUTY PRODUCTS. That you use to make your hands and feet soft. Get your minds out of the gutter people! These come from Etsy (of course!) and there’s no information about the ingredients, but then, I don’t think that’s the point somehow, do you? Would you buy a product called Hand Job? If you would, you can get it here. Dollface Reviews: Boots No. 7 Younger Longer Time Resisting Hand Cream
Although this is a fairly thick cream, it does absorb quickly – I can rub it on and then get back to work right away (yes, I am a workaholic) and it does a good job of making my hands smoother and softer. I also like the fact that it contains SPF 15: I think most of us know by now that it’s a good idea to wear sun protection on our faces every day, but it’s easy to forget our hands, which are one of the first parts of the body to show the signs of aging, I got this in a trial size, as part of a gift with purchase, but it’s still going strong after several weeks – a little goes a long way. Buy: Boots No.7 Younger Longer Time Resisting Hand Cream, £9.95 (Note: I couldn’t find this on the Boots website, so am assuming it’s out of stock. You should be able to pick it up in-store, though)

Dollface Reviews: The Floral Collection Magnolia Moisturising Hand & Nail Cream from Marks and Spencer
As you’d expect from a product from ‘The Floral Collection’, this hand cream smells… floral. It smells very floral, in fact, and I suspect it may be a little too cloying for some of you as it’s pretty strong and lingering. With that said, the scent is a fairly pleasant one, and if you like it, you’ll probably find its strength a major plus point. For me, the biggest plus point of this cream, though, is how easily absorbed it is. I hate using hand cream, and I tend to avoid using it most of the time, purely because there’s just never really a time when I’m able to sit around for twenty minutes not touching anything while I wait for the cream to absorb. This one, though, absorbs in just a couple of minutes if you rub it in properly, and will leave your hands feeling nice and soft – albeit rather strongly scented. For only £2 a tube, I think it’s a pretty good deal – but only if you like the scent of flowers! Buy: The Floral Collection Magnolia Moisturising Hand & Nail Cream, £2

DuWop Hands 2 Hair – hand and styling cream in one
It’s DuWop’s Hands 2 Hair, and it’s a hand cream that doubles as … yes, you’ve guessed it – a hair styling product. Now isn’t that clever? As a hair product, it’s apparently best for helping tame frizzy hair, the hand cream will nourish your hands (obviously), and this little multi-tasker will be great for travel or keeping in your desk. I say it again: genius. Buy: DuWop Hands 2 Hair, $16.50 Lush release ‘Handy Gurugu’ hand cream
It’s handmade from shea butter which has had lots of other natural oils and butter added to it, plus soothing essential oils and rosewater. Oh, and it has the word "gurugu" in its name. What more could you ask? Buy: Handy Gurugu hand cream, £5.95
