Benefit release new Powderflage powder concealer

Powderflage I first heard about Benefit's new Powderflage in one of their regular email updates, but when I clicked through to the website I could find no trace of it, which, Benefit-addict that I am, left me champing at the bit to find out more.

It turns out this product isn't going to be available on the site until August 19th, but when it is, I'd imagine quite a few curious beauty addicts will want to try it. It's a powder concealer, which is the kind of thing that sounds like it can't possibly work, but just might.

It seems to be aimed specifically at those pesky under-eye shadows, using illuminating powder particles to diffuse light away from the under-eye area, leaving you looking younger and fresher. Sounds intriguing - can't wait until the 19th to read more about this one!

Benefit launch B Spot perfume

Benefit_bspot Speaking of Benefit, who are never very far from my mind, they've recently launched their new B Spot fragrance - because you don't have a G Spot, you have a B Spot, see?

It contains notes of  mango, freesia, peony, sandalwood and amber, and Benefit are recommending it be applied to your very own "B" points, i.e. on the pulse points, where it'll radiate out.

And just in case all of the sexual innuendo is passing you by, they're even including a "sexy body map" to help you find your own B Spot. Ooh-er!

Neutrogena launch new Visibly Clear Spot Stress Control range

Neutrogena_visibly_clear

I'm sure most of us would probably agree that times of stress also tend to be times of spots and other fun skin breakouts. It's basically the universe's way of kicking you when you're down.

Neutrogena have just conducted a survey which seems to back up that idea: they spoke to 1,000 young women and found that 72% believed they were more likely to suffer a breakout when stressed, and 64% saying they become even more stressed as a result. It's a vicious circle, and, in a bid to break it, the company has just launched its Visibly Clear Spot Stress Control range, which will be available from this August, and includes:

Visibly Clear™ Spot Stress Control™ Hydrating Spot Treatment £4.49
- with Microclear® technology, this allows spot fighting ingredients to penetrate deep down to help clear spots whilst hydrating and soothing the skin with green tea and cucumber

Visibly Clear™ Spot Stress Control™ Daily Scrub £4.49
- with microbeads gently exfoliates while Microclear® technology unclogs pores to penetrate deep down and help clear spots without overdrying. Green tea and cucumber soothe the skin

Visibly Clear™ Spot Stress Control™ Daily Foam Wash £4.49
- with a powerful spot-fighting ingredient cleanses deep down to unclog pores by dissolving oil and dirt which can lead to spots. Its soft foam formula soothes the skin and is gentle enough for everyday use without overdrying.

Chanel launches Robertson Boulevard nail colour collection

Chanel_robertson_boulevard

I'm getting pretty tired of writing about how bright colours are, like, totally hot right now, but the fact is - they are. To prove it, here's Chanel's latest nail colour collection. It's called Robertson Boulevard and, well, it's pretty bright, isn't it? Probably a little too bright for me, and I don't think that yellow will look great against my pale skin, but if bright sets your heart alight (sorry), the colours are, clockwise from left: Melrose, L.A. Sunrise, Rodeo Drive and L.A. Sunset.

Get them from Chanel.

M.A.C's Naughty Nauticals now available to buy

Naughtynauticals_390

If you read our sister site, The Fashion Police, you'll know that the nautical look is big news this summer, and MAC presumably know this too, hence the launch of their Naughty Nauticals collection, which goes big on navy, red, coral and other, suitably sea-faring colours including Ahoy, There!, Port Red, Hey Sailor, Shore Leave and a whole lot more. Check them out at the MAC website.

New from BarryM - Intense Eyeliner Pens

Eyeliner_pens For those days when you're absolutely broke, but you still want to indulge your love of beauty products and maybe shake up your look a little, eyeliner is the way to go. These new Intense Eyeliner Pens by BarryM (a brand I find hard to resist because their shadows and pencils come in so many fabulous colours) and waterproof, and come in a long-lasting formula, which makes them a good buy for £3.95. They're also retractable, so no more pencil sharpeners, and come in eight different colours. Cheap, but very cheerful...

Benefit Posietint: Benetint in pink!

Benefit_posietint Even although Benefit's Benetint is my cheek colour of choice, I've sometimes wondered why it isn't available in a wider colour range, like most of the copycat versions are.  Well, I wonder no more! From this June, you'll be able to buy Benetint in pink - or "Posietint", to give it its proper name. Looks like I have yet another thing to add to my Beauty Wish List, then...

Posietint is exactly the same as Benetint but for one important fact - it's pink, rather than red, so it'll give you a petal-pink flush rather than a rosy one. According to Bella Sugar, the colour is very, very pink indeed out of the bottle, but much more natural looking on the cheeks.

It's out in June, when you'll be able to buy it from Benefit Cosmetics LLC.

Footessentials natural foot care range launches

Footessentials1

Athletes foot. Fungal infections. Verrucas. I really hope you weren't eating when you started reading this post...

No, the things our feet are prone to picking up rarely make pleasant conversational subjects, but Footessentials new range of essential oils manage to make treating them sound about as pleasant as foot-treatments get.

With names like ‘Warm that Sole’, ‘Nourish that Nail’, ‘Ditch that Itch’ and ‘Banish that Blotch’, you probably won't need me to spell out just what these are supposed to do for you, will you? What I will tell you is that the oils have various therapeutic benefits, including anti-fungal, antiseptic and anti-bacterial properties which help to rejuvenate the skin and optimise foot health. The formulations include ingredients such as ginger, used for its antiseptic and anti-bacterial properties, marjoram for its antiseptic and comforting elements and peppermint for its revitalising and restorative actions.

Sound good? Get them at http://www.footessentials.co.uk for £7.95 each.

The Body Shop launches Cocoa Butter Everyday Summer Body Lotion self tanner

Cocoa_butter I'm still waiting for Spring to arrive. I'm starting to think it's going to be a long wait, which means I've not quite got round to starting the usual warm-weather routine of trying to take the edge of my blue-white skin with a range of self tanners.

When I do use fake tan, I much prefer the "new" breed of tanners, which are designer to be used every day, just like regular old body lotion, and which build up your tan gradually. I find them more natural, and less hassle than the kind that develop within hours, and they tend to smell that bit less offensive, too.

This year, I have a new tanning lotion to add to my "must try" list. It's The Body Shop's Cocoa Butter Everyday Summer Body Lotion, and, as the name suggests, it's designed to be used every day, building up "a beautiful, natural-looking sun-kissed glow with each application".

It's available in two different shades - one for Fair to Medium Skin and one for Medium to Dark Skin - and claims to absorb easily into the skin, and provide up to 12 hours of moisture.

Lancome launches High Définicils mascara, Dollface rejoices

Lancome_high_definicils

Lancome's Définicils was the very first high-end mascara I ever tried, and the beginning of a love affair with Lancome mascaras that has lasted until the present day. Over the years there have been lots of different mascaras in my life, but no matter how many I try, I always go back to Lancome, because, for my money at least, they're quite simply the best on the market.

This means that news of a new Lancome mascara is a big thing for me, and the arrival of a press release announcing the launch of of High Définicils was the perfect way to end my Friday afternoon.

Lancome say: "The addition of High Définicils High Definition Ultra Precision Mascara gives the chicest women and most discerning makeup artists the option of creating an elegant, clean, fanned-lash look with the award-winning Définicils formula and a new, patented, precision-glide brush. The formula easily and cleanly glides onto each lash, adding suppleness and length. The High Precision™ brush, with its soft rubber bristles, deposits just the right amount of product for optimum separation and no clumps."

All of which sounds just peachy to me. Anyone tried it yet?

Benefit releases Lust Dusters - shimmering powders for eyes and face

Lust_dusters Another new release from Benefit! This is their Lust Duster mineral powder, which comes in ten different shades, and can be used on either the eyes or the face.

Now, clearly you're not going to want to use colours like Boom Boom (blue), Punk Royalty (purple) or Moon Doggie (green) on your cheeks, but they'll be perfect for the eyes, and the more neutral shades in the collection can be used to accent the cheeks, browns and even the lips.

Tarte launch Natural Swirl Cheek Stain

Tarte Tarte's cheek stain requires no introduction - it's one of the most popular cheek stains around, but if you've never been able to find a colour that's quite right for you, the launch of their Natural Swirl Cheek Stain may be good news.

This is a combination of two shade's of Tarte's Natural Beauty Cheek Stain, swirled together to create the edible looking concoction you can see on the left. It also contains T5 Super Fruit Complex, which Tarte say is a blend of five "superfruits" which contain anti-oxidant properties, as well as having anti-aging and skin restorative purposes. All this in a blusher - never will your cheeks have felt so pampered!

Heatherette for M.A.C - don't you just want it ALL?

Heatherette_mac

It's a long time since I've looked forward to the launch of a beauty collection quite as much as the Heatherette for M.A.C collection, and now that it's here, it's proving every bit as lust-worthy as I'd imagined - and that's just the packaging! As regular readers know, show Dollface a prettily packaged cosmetic, and she'll generally show you her credit card, so the Heatherette pieces were always destined to go straight onto my wish list.

Shown above are two of the eye shadow trios from the new line. On the left of the picture, limited edition shades of Mood Ring and Hoppin’, and Cloudburst shadows; on the right, Baby Petals, V.I.P. and Cassette. These are $32.50, and if I were you, I'd get 'em while you still can...

Smashbox launch Sheer Focus Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15

Smashbox Although you wouldn't necessarily know it if you lived anywhere in the vicinity of Dollface Towers, summer is on the way (I really hope it is, anyway), and with the warmer weather comes a desire to drop our heavy foundations and powders and go for something a little lighter.

Just in time for spring then, along comes Smashbox's new Sheer Focus Tinted Moisturizer. With an SPF of 15, this is the classic easy-to-wear alternative to foundation, perfect for summer holidays, weekends or any other occasion when you want to give yourself a little bit of coverage without going all-out on the foundation.

The moisturiser contains citrus honey ingredients for hydration, vitamins C and E and anti aging peptides. The coverage is said to be matt, and long-lasting, and comes in five different shades.

Avon launch ANEW Ultimate anti-ageing skin care range

Anew

Remember the days when Avon was best known for being the brand that was sold door-to-door, by friendly ladies who'd deliver your purchases a week later? Well, no more. Of course, the friendly ladies still exist, but these days Avon is also building a name for itself as a serious skincare brand, with some serious re-search into anti-ageing technology.

A few years ago, I tried out Avon's Anew Clinical Eye Lift, and can remember being fairly impressed with it. I've yet to try any of the products from the ANEW Ultimate range, but the claims are pretty impressive, and I have to admit to being curious about how well they'll actually work. The range consists of:

ANEW Ultimate Age Repair Night Cream
This claims to produce visible results in just three days, so at least you won't have to wait long to find out if it was a good buy or not. After four weeks, it's claimed that age spots will lighten and fine lines and wrinkles will be diminished.

ANEW Ultimate Age Repair Day Cream SPF25
The companion to the night cream, Avon say that 80% of women showed improvement in cushion.74% of women showed improvement in age spots & fine wrinkles after four weeks of continuous use.

ANEW Ultimate Contouring Eye System
Like the Clinical Eye Lift, this is two products in one: a Concentrated Elixir, to be used under the eyes every night, to get rid of eye bags and puffiness and an Intensive Repair Cream, which you can use morning and night.

ANEW Ultimate Age Repair Elixir
This is a serum which claims to instantly firm up the skin on your face, neck and under the chin. After four weeks, Avon say 100% of women showed a reduction in fine wrinkles and 100% of women showed an improvement in skin tone.

Benefit launch Talk to the Tan - sheer facial tint (plus free shipping!)

Faketan Another new product from those busy bees at Benefit, this is their Talk to the Tan sheer facial tint, and although there are hints of Paris Hilton on the packaging, the product itself promises to be rather more subtle than everyone's favourite heiress.

It's a streak-free colour which washes off, so even if you do make a mistake, you're not stuck with it for days on end until it fades. Use one coat for a natural look, or layer it up for a deeper tan - your choice.

It's $26, but Benefit are offering free US shipping with all purchases - just enter the code TALK2TAN at checkout. If you're buying Internationally, meanwhile, you'll get free shipping on orders over $100 by entering the code INTLSHIP.

Buy: Benefit Talk to the Tan

Get Heidi Klum's skin(care line) In an Instant

Heidiklum

Now tell me, who wouldn't want to look like Heidi Klum? Well, this new line of skincare products probably won't do that, exactly, but it was created by Heidi, in conjunction with  Guthy-Renker, and the claim is that it " detoxifies and guards against premature aging, hydrates dry and sensitive skin and minimizes fine lines for a younger looking complexion."

In an Instant is a 30 programme consisting of:

  • Gentle Foaming Cleanser
  • Intensive Firming Serum
  • Instant Wrinkle Smoother
  • Instant Daily Tinted Moisturizer
  • Instant Warming Scrub
  • An intro kit is only $29.95, which I think is pretty reasonable, assuming that it does what it says on the tin. Look out for Heidi's infomercials promoting the product, which are due to air soon!

Lancome launches Color Ideal Illuminateur Sheer Highlighting Fluid

    Lancome

There are few things in life that Dollface loves more than skin illuminating/highlighting products. No, really. So you can imagine how excited I was to hear that Lancome has just launched a new one: it's called Color Ideal Illuminateur and you can wear it in three different ways:

    1. On its own, to create that glowy, dewy "I totally don't wear makeup, I just look this good naturally" look we all so desire (or I do, anyway).

    2. Over foundation, to highlight and and gently sculpt your face (because who doesn't want a sculpted face?) - dot over cheekbones or other facial features you'd like to illuminate and then blend in.

    3. Mixed with foundation, to give your skin a "luminous" look.

It comes in three shades - Shimmering Bronze, Shimmering Nude and Shimmering Pink   - and is $37. Want.

Benefit Miss Popularity - precision highlighter for eyes & face

    Benefit

If there's one thing Benefit excels at, it's their highlighting products, so I'm even more excited about their new 'Miss Popularity lotion than I am about the Erase Paste we featured yesterday. This looks like a nail polish, but is actually a highlighter designed for eyes and lips. The theory is that you add this to the triangles of the eyes or the corners of the mouth, to brighten them up. You can also add a few dots to the centre of your nose to slim it down a little - all tried and tested methods, of course, but this product is specially designed to make it a whole lot easier on you.

    Anyone tried this yet?

Benefit Erase Paste makes worry lines go away

    Benefiterasepaste

I'm a worrier. I worry about things that have happened, thing that might happen, and things that probably don't have a hope in hell of ever happening. In fact, I'm probably worrying about something as you read this. Worrying, of course, doesn't really achieve anything, other than leaving great big old lines on your forehead - great! So I'm particularly excited to hear about Benefit's latest product, Erase Paste, which claims to get rid of them....

This is billed as "brightening camouflage for eyes and face" - so it's a concealer/illuminator, in other words - and it's available in three different shades of paste, which you apply with the spatula which is provided, and you also get a step-by-step guide how to use it. You can, of course, also use your fingers, which sounds to me like it might be easier than the spatula, but I guess I'm going to have to try it to find out!

    Buy: Benefit Erase Paste, $26

Origins launch new Organics skincare range - good for your skin, good for the planet

    Originsorganics

I have to admit that hunting down cool organic beauty products is something I don't do nearly enough of. It's all too easy to be seduced by cure packaging and amazing claims and to forget all about the important bit - you know, what's actually in the stuff.

Well, Origins are making finding products that are good for the planet as well as good for your skin that bit easier with their recently launched Organics range.Origins is, of course, an Estee Lauder brand, so you can expect some fairly high-end product here. You can also expect it to be kind to the planet, too: it's the first full line of products to be certified by the United State Department of Agriculture, and most products in the line are made with around 95% organic ingredients.

As for the products themselves, well, there's a Foaming Face Wash, a Soothing Lip Balm, a Purifying Tonic, a Nourishing Face Lotion a Cleansing Body Bar and... actually, you'd probably be best to go and visit the site itself, because as you can see from the picture above, there are a lot of products here to try out. And if you do decide to do just that, remember to come back and tell us what you thought of them..

Lancome releases Pout-à-Porter lipstick in Pixel Pink

It's the latest (and last) in Lancome's designer Pout-à-Porter lipstick series, and if you want to get your lips around some of this, you better get it fast, because this stuff tends to sell out fast...

It's called 'Pixel Pink' and it was created by fashion designer Thakoon and celebrity makeup artist Gucci Westman for Thakoon’s Spring 2008 show. The sheer raspberry shade was worn by all of the models at the show - see it on Catherine McNeil, above.

I think this looks like a gorgeous, very wearable pink. If you agree, get it for $25 direct from Lancome.

The Body Shop Launches New Japanese Cherry Blossom Fragrance

    Bodyshop

Even the sound of this has me drooling... It's The Body Shop's new limited edition Japanese Cherry Blossom scent, which they've used to make eau de toilette, body butter, bath and shower gel and body puree. Not having tried it, I can't tell you whether it really does smell like Cherry Blossom, but The Body Shop themselves describe it as a "romantic, floral fragrance", which is certainly the impression you get from the packaging. If that's true, this will make the perfect scent for - dare I say it? - Valentine's Day , and with prices starting from $11, it's affordable, too.

This one comes just in time for Valentine's Day: it's called 'Thrrrob'  and it's a pink face powder designed to "simulate the natural flush you get when your heart races". DuWop's DoubleGlow 7 - another new product for spring

Duwopdoubleglow7 Spring and summer call for soft, dewy skin with a bit of a glow, but sometimes a girl needs a bit of help actually achieving that. DoubleGlow 7 is another new product from DuWop, and it's designed to give your skin instant radiance and a much needed boost. The company claim it'll make you look like you had an extra three hours sleep, and I don't know about you, but I'm all for that...

It can be used under foundation as a primer, over it to add some glow, or on its own, for that "dewy" look. Oh, and the "7" part of the name comes from the seven "secret weapons" it contains: ojoba, Aloe Vera, Lily Extract and Illuminating Pearls plus Vitamins A, E and F.

DuWop Prime Venom: A Lip Plumper in Lipstick Form

Primevenom Despite the multitude of lipglosses I've tried out for this site (it's a hard job, but someone has to do it), I'm not much of a lip gloss girl. It's just too sticky for someone like me, whose long hair seems to be constantly stuck to her mouth when she wear it, to get on with, so as much as I love the look of glossy lips, for myself, I tend to stick to lipstick.

This is why I was really interested to hear (via Kiss and Makeup) that DuWop have launched a lipstick version of their famous Lip Venom plumping gloss. It's called Prime Venom , and is basically a lip balm infused with the same plumping properties as it's glossier sister.

I didn't have much luck with Lip Venom, and have always believed that lip gloss makes your lips look plump anyway, purely by virtue of making them shiny, so I'll be looking out for reviews of this to see what people think of it.

Heatherette for MAC - first pictures!

Heatherette_mac Fashionista has the first picture of the new Heatherette for MAC collection this morning - or the packaging, at least. As you can see, the pieces will come wrapped in shocking pink plastic, which is oh-so-Heatherette! I want it already, but will have to wait until the official launch in March to get my hands on it.

Still no word on colours (given that it's Heatherette, though, I wouldn't expect anything too subtle), but according to Fashionista, there'll be nail polish, eyeshadow, lipstick, and pancake bases for us to feast our eyes and other bits upon.

Lush release 'Handy Gurugu' hand cream

Handcream My hands are always super-dry at this time of year, so I'm making a mental note to stop by Lush the next time I'm in town and pick up a pot of their new Handy Gurugu hand cream.  Whether it will meet the Holy-Grail-Hand-Cream criteria (very moisturising but also very quickly absorbed, because who has time to wander around unable to touch anything because they just applied hand cream, and now their hands are all greasy and slippy) is anyone's guess, but it does sound good.

It's handmade from shea butter which has had lots of other natural oils and butter added to it, plus soothing essential oils and rosewater. Oh, and it has the word "gurugu" in its name. What more could you ask?

Dior's 'DiorLight' Holiday Bright Lip Gloss

Diorlightlipgloss The holiday collections are responsible for the creation of some truly beautiful cosmetics, but they're responsible for some rather odd looking ones, too. Take Dior's 'Diorlight' lipgloss, for instance, which looks to me like a little alien pod dangling on a string. Handy, for sure - I mean, how many times have you wanted to re-apply your lipgloss, then realised you don't have it with you? - but still... odd. Perhaps it looks better in real life, who knows?

It's $90 and is described by Nordstrom as "a glamorous copper-pink lip gloss for shimmering holiday lights".

Lancome's Precious Carat Lip Gloss in a Swarovski crystal case

    Lancomepreciouscarat

When it comes to buying cosmetics, I have to admit I have a slight tendency to judge a book by its cover - or, in this case, to covet a product purely on the basis of its bling-tastic case. Such is the case with a whole bunch of Benefit products, and so, too, is it with Lancome's Precious Carat Lip Gloss, which comes in a case made out of Swarovski crystal.

The gloss itself is transparent, the price is $40, and this is part of Lancome's bid to tempt us all with beautiful, sparkling things in time for the Christmas season. I think it just might work, too: I mean, tell me you wouldn't want to find this tucked away in the bottom of your Christmas stocking?

Mineralmakeup Once again I find myself stamping my little feet on the floor and exclaiming that it's JUST. NOT. FAIR. that we don't have Target in the UK. The news that Sonia Kashuk is to sell her Sheer Magic Mineral Face Palette through the chain from November has done nothing to improve my mood.

While my experiments with mineral makeup haven't been too successful so far, I'm ready to try again, and have been casting around for a brand to experiment with. Given that this one will be priced at around $14.99, it sounds like as good a place as any to start - aside from the small fact that I won't be able to buy it over here, of course.

Never mind - you'll be able to buy it if you live Stateside, and I know I can rely on you to pop back and tell me what you thought of it. Can't I?

Pretty Polly launches Love Legs - a beauty range for legs

    Makeupforlegs

I'm currently obsessed with the idea of spray-on tights and makeup for legs at the moment (in fact, I'm eagerly awaiting delivery of a leg product which will hopefully be reviewed later this week), so the announcement that Pretty Polly, one of the UK's biggest hoisery manufacturers is launching its first beauty care for legs range has come at just the right time for me.

It's called Love Legs and it consists of a leg shimmer, gloss, make up and bronzer, all of which will go on sale this autumn. Prices start from £1.49 and there are more details after the jump. Can't wait to try it out...

Benefit Launch Powder Pop, Justine Case and the Ten Palette

BenefitcosmeticsAh, some new product launches from Benefit! My cup runneth over! These are actually palettes containing some of the line's best sellers. Powder Pop contains Dallas, Dandelion and Hula powders, and has just gone to the top of my beauty wish list because I want to try all three, but tend to stick to good ol' Georgia.

The Ten Palette, meanwhile is for lips, cheeks and eyes and gives you two lip colours plus matching eye colours. Finally, Justine Case is described as "a mini beautifier kit" and contains tiny versions of EyeCon, California Kissin', Benetint and Some Kind-a Gorgeous. Sigh.

US-only at the moment, but rest assured that the very moment they hit our shores here in the UK, I will be all over them like a rash...

Bourjois Gloss Menthol lip gloss - gloss that freshens your breath

BourgoismentholglossAs one of the better low-priced brands, I'm always interested to see what kind of new products Bourjois come up with - even when what they come up with is a little on the unusual side, like their new Gloss Menthol lipgloss.

If the advert on the left is to be believed this is one shiny gloss, to be sure. It's also a breath freshener, though: yes, that glossy formula is "enriched with menthol" to "leave an ultra fresh breath sensation on your lips." I haven't tried it, but I think I'm going to have to, purely for research purposes, you understand.

    Anyone tried this one?

New Product: Benefits' 'That Gal' brightening face primer

    Benefitthatgirl

I heard about this via Jen's blog, Glossing Over It, this weekend, and was so excited I almost wet myself. Sorry, am I over-sharing here?

As you all know, I lovelovelove Benefit, so a new product launch from them is always good news. This one is particularly good news, though, because, well, it sounds like a particularly good product. It's a face primer, but unlike Benefit's currently available primer, Doctor Feelgood, this one will also brighten your skin, rather than just preparing it for makeup. According to Benefit, "It's a silky pink primer that makes skin appear smoother & brighter. Wear alone for clear complexion radiance or apply before makeup for smooth, effortless application. Re-brighten during the day with "that gal."

It's $27 and currently only available in the US, but no doubt coming soon to an eBay auction near you.

    Buy it: Benefit
