Eyelure to launch Girls Aloud false eyelashes
As a not-so-secret Girls Aloud fan (look, it's good workout music, OK?), this has to be my favourite piece of beauty-related news today… Eyelure, makers of everything from eyelash dye to false lashes, have joined forces with Girls Aloud to create a new line of 'Girls Aloud' branded false eyelashes. Five different pairs will be created, one for each girl, and each reflecting the particular style of the person who "inspired" it. These will be available from mid-April, and I'll have pictures of the lashes themselves when they become available. I already want a "Cheryl" pair.. Lancome Genifique Youth Activating Concentrate – a sneak peek! Thanks to the effects of the cold I mentioned last week, my skin has been looking rougher than I've seen it in a long time recently, so you can only imagine my excitement when this little package turned up at Dollface Towers on Friday afternoon:
This is Lancome's new 'Genifique' – a "Youth Activating Concentrate" which has been created in conjunction with the hospital centre at Quebec's University of Laval. It won't be available to buy until this April, but Lancome have very kindly sent me some to try before then, and let me tell you, it couldn't have come at a better time. So, what is it? Genifique is basically a serum (although there will be an exfoliator available too when it launches). It comes in a pretty glass bottle, with a medicine dropper-like applicator which you use to collect the product and then apply it to your face. The science bit: Genifique is designed to stimulate the activity of the genes which help produce proteins. As we age, these slow down, meaning that less protein is releases, and we look older and wrinklier. Genifique aims to speed-up the process of protein production again, helping the skin look younger. It's suitable for all ages and all skin types, and is used as the first step in your skincare regime, before you apply moisturiser etc. Lancome say the first results are visible within seven days. I've only been using it for two, so it's too early to say whether it'll do what it claims to, but it's a nice product to use. While the "dropper" is just a little bit on the fiddly side, the products itself is absorbed into the skin almost immediately: it's light and totally non-greasy, and makes a good base for other products. This will cost $78 when it launches in April. Check back soon, though, to find out how I get on with it!

Bobbi Brown Valentine’s Collection – Blushed Pink
Even if you don't celebrate Valentine's Day itself, there's no denying it can be a good excuse to treat yourself to some new makeup, especially when cosmetics manufacturers will insist on bringing out new products in honour of the day! Bobbi Brown's latest collection is called Blushed Pink and this is a typically pretty Springtime collection, all flushed cheeks and sparkly eyes. The collection includes: Sparkle Eye Shadow : new, limited edition colours including Ballet, Silver Moon, Mica and Sunlight Eye Shadow in Birch and Mink New, Limited Edition Nude Pink Lip Gloss and Baby Glitter Lip Gloss Compacts Blush Pink Creamy Lip Colour Visit www.bobbibrown.co.uk for more information. Barbie for Stila!![]() I have to admit, when I first heard about the "Barbie for Stila" collection, I wasn’t totally convinced by it. This is a limited edition collection which has been launched to celebrate Barbie’s 50th anniversary, and it consists of four "paint tins", each containing all you need to look like a classic Barbie doll. But how many grown women would actually want to look like a Barbie doll, I wondered? Well, probably quite a few, actually: not only is the packaging super-cute, what you hasically have here is four different makeup "looks", and everything you’ll need to create them. My favourite is the "Ponytail Doll" kit shown above, not just because I love all things retro (this is a homage to the very first Barbie doll), but because Ponytail Barbie’s look is all old-school glamour, with red lips and lots of black eyeliner – what’s not to love? If you don’t like that, there’s also "Malibu Doll" (a sunkissed 70s look), Foxy Doll (Mattel’s very first black skinned Barbie) and Jewel Doll (the Barbie of the year 2000). All of these will be available from February, but you can view them now at Sephora, and pre-order once stock becomes available. Cost is $40 per kit. Which one would you choose?

Pink Irreverence by Aaron De Mey for Lancôme After all the glitter and gloss of Christmas it’s great to see some new collections coming out for Spring. Yesterday Jen brought us news of the latest lot from NARS and now here’s Lancome’s gorgeous Spring offering, ‘Pink Irreverence’ by the brands new creative director, Aaron De May. As the name suggests, there’s a lot of pink here to get you looking suitably flushed and pretty as the warmer weather arrives, but it’s offset with some blacks too, to give the look a bit of an edge. More pictrures and information after the jump! CORALista face powder new from Benefit It’s a new powder blush from Benefit, folks, and there are no prizes for guessing what kind of colour it is, because the clue is in the name (as well as in the image above, natch.) It’s called ‘Coralista’ and it is, of course, a coral pink which Benefit are describing as "tropical". Unlike the ‘Georgia’ and ‘Dallas’ powders, this is probably only going to work on the cheeks themselves, because it looks to be a fairly deep pink, but it’s a pretty colour and one I’ll look forward to getting my sticky little hands on soon! Buy: Coralista face powder, $28

Boots launch new Protect & Perfect Foundation and Lip Care
This contains the same antioxidant complex as the skincare range and has an SPF of 15, so the idea is that it should help care for your skin (especially if used in conjunction with the various skincare products) as well as evening out your skin tone, covering your blemishes and doing all that other good stuff foundations do. It comes in seven different shades, is £15 and if you want to try it out, now would be a good time to do it as Boots are currently offering three for two on their No. 7 range. That means you can also pick up the new Protect & Perfect lip care, which gives you the same deal as the rest of the skincare range, only for the lips. Protect & Perfect – taking over the Dollface beauty cupboard one product at a time, apparently… New metallic eye and lip colours from Bobbi Brown![]() Bobbi Brown have just released a new range of shimmery, metallic eye and lip colours, in time for the Christmas party season. (Yes, I know it’s still months away, but it’s always good to plan in advance…) A selection of the lip colours are shown above: they come in a high-shine, high pigmented formula which gives medium coverage, and there are fifteen shades to choose from, those being Baby Peach, Kir, Pretty Pink, Twilight Pink, Beige Gold, Gilded Pink, Silver Haze, Ruffle, Vintage Rose, Ruby, Berry, Dusk, Raspberry, Brown & Plum. They’re available from this month, and will cost £14 each. Benefit BADGal Mascara now in plum
Now, I have to admit to being fairly unadventurous when it comes to mascara colours. I will try any brand of mascara once (and sometimes more than once), but I will always stick to basic black, my reason being that it’s as dark as you can go with mascara, and after a lifetime of see-through eyelashes, definition is what I’m looking for. This new release from Benefit is making me wonder if I should give the other colours available a go, though. On the wand, this looks a little alarming, but the colour is said to be softer and warmer than black, which could be rather nice for a bit of a change. If you want to give it a go, it’s $19, from Benefit.
