Crayons… that are also lip colours. That really appeals to the part of me that’s secretly only seven years old, and as that’s quite a large part of me, I’ve spent quite a bit of time this afternoon looking at Barry M’s new Lip Lacquer Crayons, and wondering which one I’d buy (Cherry Red, just in case you’re wondering). These promise to create a high-shine, ultra glossy finish, which isn’t quite the style I usually go for (I’m more of a matt lip kinda girl), but there’s a first time for everything, especially when the price is only £4.95. Available in five different colours, you can order yours here. NOTD – Barry M Nail Paint in #47 – BlackPosted on February 19th, 2010 by Dollface
I don’t generally do Nail of the Day posts, because, well, most of the time it would be the SAME nails, EVERY day. I did, however, pop a sneaky little Barry M Nail Paint in with my Boots.com order this month, and I’m wearing it today, so I thought I’d show you. This is #47, which, as you can see, is pure black. It goes on a little more watery than the other Barry M polishes I’ve used, so it’s definitely not a one-coat polish. A second coat makes it perfect, though, and there’s no dragging or streaking, so it’s easy to apply, even for nail-polish challenged people like me. Like the other Barry M shades, this only cost me £2.95, and the polishes always seem to last well, with minimal chipping, so I’ll probably find myself tempted by another one in the not-so-distant future. Any recommendations? Dollface Reviews: Barry M Nail Paint in 302 – FuchsiaPosted on November 24th, 2009 by Dollface
![]() Barry M Nail Paint in 305 - Fuchsia This nail polish was an impulse buy, and, as it turned out, it was a pretty stupid one. Not, I hasten to add, because I don’t like it, but simply because once I got it home, I realised it was pretty much exactly the same colour as the Rimmel “Funtime Fuchsia” polish I already own. D’oh! Still, it’s not such a big deal: I still love this colour – the Rimmel polish was my “go to” shade all summer, and I’m still not tired of it, so having another bottle of much the same shade is no disaster, especially when it only cost me £2.95. Colour aside, it’s a great product, too. It goes on easily, with no dragging or streaking. One coat would probably do, but I like to apply two, for a slightly more intense colour. It dries quickly, and is very hard-wearing. I applied it on Saturday, and didn’t bother with a top coat (I know, I know…), but it’s still going strong today, with only the tiniest bit of chipping visible on one finger. Overall, a great value polish in a nice, bright (but not too bright) colour. Barry M Nail Paint in 302, Fuchsia, £2.95 |
