I love Bobbi Browns Shimmer Bricks, and while the colours on this one do look fairly similar to the Copper Diamond version I already have, I'm still tempted by it, because I love the idea of these barely-there shades that will add a bit of shimmer and glow to the complexion, without looking overdone. Bobbi Brown claims this will make you look "lit from within" and seriously, who wouldn't want to look "lit from within"? As with the other versions of this compact, the colours can be worn blended together or applied separately, and given the "nude" colours, you can wear them wherever you want – eyes, face, even all over your body if you particularly wanted to. Do you want your body to shimmer on the beach? I'm not sure I do, to be completely honest. That's what Bobbi Brown's Shimmering Body Oil is designed for, though: this isn't a sunscreen, so although it will moisturise your skin, the main effect is to give your skin one of those "golden glows" beauty companies are always talking about, as you lie in the sun. For this reason, I'm assuming it's quick dry and non-sticky, otherwise I'd probably end up looking like a Sand Creature, with half of the beach stuck to my skin. Mind you, I generally look like a Sand Creature at the beach anyway, so I guess it wouldn't be too much of a stretch for me. Although Neiman Marcus have added the word "beach" to the name of this, I think the moisturising properties mean it will probably come into its own as an after-sun, to sooth the skin and add a bit of shimmer for evening. If you want to try it out and see for yourself, it's $34 from Neiman Marcus. Bobbi Brown Exclusive Shimmer Brick for Body & All Over Body Brush
I love my Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick, so when I discovered there was an over sized version designed to be used on the body, I just had to go and coo over it like it was a kitten or something. This is exactly what it sounds like: a version of the famous shimmer brick which you can basically use as a bronzing powder for your arms, legs, or anywhere else that might need it. It's not cheap at $75, and the All Over Body Brush is even more expensive at $85, but hey, don't they look pretty? You can buy them both exclusively at Neiman Marcus, or, if you prefer, you can just gaze at them, above. Up to you. As I mentioned on Friday, my skin hasn't been behaving itself very well these past few weeks. In fact, I'm barely speaking to it at all now. I'd ground it, but I kinda need it to come with me when I go out, so concealer has become my BFF. I find most cream-based concealers work best with a touch of powder over the top to set them, though, so this little kit from Bobbi Brown sparked my interest. It has two compartments, one for the concealer itself, and one for the setting powder, which would make it idea for popping in your handbag (although you'll need a mini brush, too, to be able to use the powder while you're out and about). It's available in 14 different shades, and is $32. Bobbi Brown Valentine’s Collection – Blushed Pink

Dollface Reviews: Bobbi Brown’s ‘Copper Diamond’ Shimmer BrickGorgeous, isn’t it? Not only is Bobbi Brown’s new Copper Diamond Shimmer Brick lovely to look at from the outside, with its pretty gold case, the colours inside are exactly the kind of colours I tend to wear, so I was really excited to be able to get my hands on one of these this week, and try it out. This contains five different shades – candlelight, gold, copper, beige and sand – inside the ‘Copper Diamond’ case, and as with Bobbi Browns other Shimmer Bricks, the colours can be used anywhere you want to add a bit of shimmer. I love the three darker shades on my eyelids, while the beige and sand are excellent as highlighters on the brow and cheek bones. These colours are fairly subtle, so if you’re going for a dramatic look I’d say this probably isn’t the Shimmer Brick for you. If you have paler skin and want to create a subtle glow, however, this is a nice way to get it, and as the colours will work on most skin tones, it’d also make a nice Christmas gift too. It’s designed to sit on your dressing table, but I guess it would be handy for travel too, if you can bear the thought of it languishing in the hold! It costs £100, and will be available from November at Bobbi Brown counters nationwide. One to add to the Christmas list, methinks.
