Tweezerman Betsey Johnson Slant Tweezer Collection
I’m a huge Tweezerman fan, and they’re one of those brands I genuinely don’t begrudge paying a little extra for: when you have a mono-brow like mine, trust me, you’ll pay whatever it takes to keep it under control. I wouldn’t normally pay extra, however, for a limited edition set of tweezers, or a set created by a fashion designer, but as the tweezers in the brands new Betsey Johnson collection don’t cost any more than a regular pair of Tweezerman’s slant tweezers, I could easily be persuaded if I was in the market for a new set (which I almost always am). What can I say, I love me some Betsey!

Tweezerman After Tweeze Soothing Cream
You know what? I’m amazed I don’t already own this product – or one very like it, at least.
As fellow mono-brow owners will probably testify, keeping the brow at bay can involve a lot of tweezing. If I left it alone for even a day or two, I’d start looking like Liam Gallagher, and this is why my desert island beauty item would always be a set of tweezers. Always.
Tweezing may keep me looking more human than ape, but it can also leave me with a large red patch between the eyes. Not so hot. This product, however, is designed specifically o soothe the brow area after tweezing: it contains ingredients including honey to soothe and moisturize the area, and it’s good for both tweezers and waxers.

Tweezerman Luxe Edition Crystal Slant Tweezers
Now, I love Tweezerman, I really do. Considering all of the times my tweezers have been either lost, put through the washing machine (I wish I was making this up) or, in the case of the point tweezers, dropped on the floor, thus blunting the points and rendering them useless, I’m thinking £75 tweezers are probably NOT a great idea for me.
They are pretty, though.

If I had to choose just one beauty product to take to a desert island, I’d choose my tweezers, absolutely no hesitation. And if I had to choose just one brand of tweezer to use for the rest of my life, I’d choose Tweezerman – no hesitation there either.
Why are they so good? Well, for a few reasons. For me, the biggest draw is the sheer precision of the things. Now, I’ve tried a lot of tweezers in my time (yes, I have a uni brow. Sue me.) and most of them will loose that all-important “spring” after a few months or weeks. The ends will go blunt, the grip won’t be as good, and you’ll find yourself casting around for a new pair of tweezers to replace the ones that suddenly just don’t work as well any more.
This is why Tweezerman tweezers are worth the extra money you’ll spend on them, because while most other brands will get blunt and loose their grip, Tweezerman tweezers just … don’t. The longevity of them is outstanding: my oldest pair are now four years old, and show no signs of flagging. And if they do get blunt, you can send them back to Tweezerman to be sharpened for free.
While I was skeptical to start with, these really do deserve their excellent reputation. They’ll remove even the smallest, most hard-to-get-at hairs, and trust me: with eyebrows like mine, I should know.
